CLVC Beginner/Intermediate Volleyball Camp
This camp is ideal for athletes who want to build a strong volleyball foundation in a fast-paced, engaging environment. Camp sessions are designed to keep players moving, learning, and touching the ball as much as possible.
Beginner Camp
Recommended for: 3rd–6th graders with 0–1 year of experience
Our Beginner Camp is perfect for athletes who are new to volleyball and eager to learn. Campers will be introduced to the rules of the game while developing essential skills like ball control and court awareness. This camp is very active, with an emphasis on repetition, movement, and learning through play.
Athletes should be excited to participate and ready to stay engaged throughout the session.
Key Focus Areas:
- Fundamental skills: serving, passing, hitting, and setting
- Strong emphasis on ball control — if you control the ball, you control the game
- High-rep drills, movement-based learning, and introductory gameplay
- Building confidence, consistency, and a love for volleyball
Intermediate Camp
Recommended for: 5th–7th graders with 1–2 years of organized experience
Our Intermediate Camp is designed for athletes who already have basic volleyball experience and are ready for a more demanding, high-energy training environment. Campers will continue refining fundamentals while being introduced to more advanced skills and systems of play.
This camp moves quickly and requires athletes to stay focused, engaged, and ready to learn.
Key Focus Areas:
- Continued development of passing, serving, hitting, and setting
- Introduction to basic systems such as base, free-ball transition, and serve/receive
- Emphasis on consistency, ball control, and decision-making
- Drill work combined with game scenarios and competitive reps
Important Note
Placement is based on experience and skill level, not solely on age. All campers are evaluated on the first day, and group placement may change throughout the week to ensure each athlete is appropriately challenged and supported.
We ask families to trust the evaluation process. Athletes who focus on mastering foundational skills often make the greatest long-term gains, and being placed in a group that targets those needs is intentional and beneficial. Overemphasis on group placement—rather than skill development—may limit an athlete’s opportunity to strengthen important fundamentals that are essential for future success.
