Beach Volleyball
Carolina Legacy Beach volleyball challenges players mentally and physically while accelerating skill development, helping athletes become quicker, more explosive, and more confident on the indoor court.
We offer Elite and Club program options for boys and girls, providing opportunities for beginners through advanced players to train, compete, and grow. With structured practices and tournament opportunities, our beach program creates a high-quality environment where athletes develop grit, court awareness, ball control, and the all-around skills that translate to long-term success.
Elite
CLVC Elite Beach is for competitive players looking to take their beach game to the next level. This program focuses on high-level skill development, strategy, and advanced training in a competitive environment. Participation is based on tryouts, and only athletes with competitive beach experience will be considered.
Players have the flexibility to choose both the number of tournaments they attend and their preferred tournament type—whether local events, in-house competitions, or travel tournaments.
This program is for girls 14U, 16U, and 18U.
Club
CLVC Club Beach is designed for athletes who want to develop their volleyball skills and gain beach experience in a structured, supportive environment. This program focuses on building strong fundamentals, improving ball control, movement, and overall volleyball IQ while using the sand to help players become quicker, more confident, and more well-rounded athletes.
It is a great option for players who want to grow their indoor game through beach training while also having opportunities to participate in local and in-house tournaments.
This program is for girls & boys 12U, 14U, and 16U.
Assessments
Program assessments will be held on April 29 to help determine appropriate training groups and program placement.
- Ages 13 and younger: 5:30 – 7:00 PM
- Ages 14 and older: 7:00 – 8:30 PM
Assessments allow our coaches to evaluate each athlete’s experience, skill level, and overall readiness so we can place players in the environment that will best support their development.
Practices
CLVC Elite Beach (14u, 16u, 18u)
- Practices held Mondays & Wednesdays from 7-9pm
CLVC Club Beach Girls (12u, 14u, 16u) & Boys (12u, 14u, 16u)
- Practices held Mondays & Wednesdays from 5:30-7pm
Cost & Fees
- Assessment Fee: $35 (due at the time of registration)
- Program Cost: $550 (due by May 30 after placement)
Program Cost Includes:
- Two practices per week throughout the season
- Coaching at designated tournaments
Not Included:
- Tournament registration fees
- Travel expenses for travel tournaments
- Gear (CLVC beach tanks available for $25)
Tournaments
A series of in-house tournaments will be offered throughout the season, giving athletes the opportunity to apply what they’re learning in practice in a fun and competitive environment. Additional details, including registration and pricing, will be shared as the dates approach. Participation in tournaments is optional, and athletes may choose to participate in as many or as few events as they’d like.
Players may also choose to compete in travel tournaments hosted by other organizations throughout the summer, such as regional or national beach volleyball events. Our coaches are happy to provide guidance and recommendations for athletes who are interested in exploring these additional competitive opportunities.

Beach Tournaments 2026
Get ready for an unforgettable summer under the lights at Carolina Legacy’s Beach Volleyball Tournaments! These evening events are the perfect mix of competition, fun, and summer vibes for players looking to test their skills on the sand. All tournaments feature pool play followed by bracket play, giving every team plenty of opportunities to compete throughout the night.
Tournament Details
Cost: $25 per player
Check-In: 5:00 PM
Play Begins: 5:30 PM
Tournament Ends: Approximately 11:30 PM
Queen of the Beach
Dates: May 29 & July 31
Our Queen of the Beach format is designed for individual players and is open to a maximum of 40 participants. Players do not need a partner in advance, as a new partner will be randomly assigned each round. Individuals earn points throughout pool play based on performance, followed by bracket play to determine the overall Queen of the Beach champions. This format is fast-paced, competitive, and a great way to meet and compete alongside different players throughout the evening.
Twilight Tournaments
Dates: June 12, June 19 & July 17
Our Twilight Tournament is a traditional doubles format with a maximum of 20 teams. Players must register with a partner selected in advance. Once players know who they would like to play with, BOTH players should still register individually and indicate their partner’s name during registration. Teams will compete in pool play before advancing into bracket play for the remainder of the tournament. Grab your teammate and get ready for a night of competitive beach volleyball under the lights!
