Registration for our 2024 Fall Youth League is CLOSED!

$150 includes 6 training sessions, 6 games and a CLVC t-shirt.

PROGRAM DETAILS
Assessments will take place August 14. This assessment is mandatory and will allow for some general instruction and for our staff to evaluate skill and potential so that teams can be built to be as balanced and fair as possible. Every athlete is welcome! You do not need to have prior knowledge to join us. See Divisions Below.

• Program will run August 14 through early October 2.
• Two skills divisions - grey (beginner) and red (intermediate). Divisions will be divided based on skill assessment, not by age alone.
• Price includes one training per week with quality coaches August 20 - September 24  (Sunday afternoon). Training will be held to help with fundamental skill development and the introduction of volleyball terms and knowledge. 
  • BEGINNER PRACTICE  Sunday  2:00pm - 3:30pm
  • INTERMEDIATE PRACTICE  Sunday 4:00pm - 5:30pm
• Price includes 6 weeks of games August 21 - October 2 (Mondays). Matches will be best 2 out of 3 (third game will be played even if outcome was determined in the first 2 if time permits). 
  • BEGINNER GAMES  Monday  5:30pm - 6:30pm 
  • INTERMEDIATE GAMES  Monday   7:00pm - 8:00pm
• We will be working toward and encouraging ball control and fundamental skills while utilizing all three contacts on the ball before sending it to the opponent. We will also teach basic defense transitions and court awareness and communication. We truly want this to be a FUN experience that grows not just their love for the game but also their skill set and volleyball IQ. We are committed to bringing a higher level recreation volleyball experience that will lead players to both love and respect this “lifelong sport” while developing the fundamental skills to “grow their game."

RULES
We will follow the USAV for most of our guidance and rules. Grey Division (Beginner) will play with the volley lite ball and will play on a standard women’s net of 7’4, the Red division will play on a standard woman’s net of 7’4 and use a regulation size ball. Game 1 and 2 will be rally scoring to 25 game 3 will be rally scoring to 15. Grey Division will be permitted to serve an additional 3 feet in from the back line, moving back after each successful serve.  Red division must serve from behind the back line.  Once a server has served (overhand or under) 5 consecutive points the ball will be awarded to the opposing team.
